Getting a new dog

We've just decided to buy a new dog, well new to us anyway, I suppose it would be a puppy for the kid's sake. Never been keen on them myself, but there is plenty of open space around here, so taking the mongrel for a walk won't be a problem.

The only problem I see is where can it sleep, at the moment I've got my moped in the kitchen, and this place has been earmarked for the dogs basket. With winter coming this is going to be a fight I'm going to have to take all the way. Either that or build a shed.

A shed for the dog of course, my little 50CC wonder is staying well and truly put in the kitchen.

Is it that unreasonable to want to settle my bum down onto a nice warm seat at 6:30 on a cold winter's morning?

Well I suppose if that means a puppy sleeping outside in the snow then there may be a few differences of opinion on this. But I did say I'd build him a shed didn't I?

The trouble is with these little 50CC moped things, is that they sometimes struggle to start on a cold morning. Far better my wonderful piece of far Eastern engineering spend the night in the warm then eh?

Ah well okay, maybe not.

Getting to know the place

Just come back from my first trip to the local pub, a really nice night. They have a couple of real ales down there, and that's got to be a good thing hasn't it?
For a baileys and coke girl? Maybe not
Met a couple of blokes down there and stopped them from chewing the cud about football all night. Well that's what blokes do down the pub isn't it? Instead the topic roamed into some pretty spicy areas.
There is a quiz night this week, but going to give it a go next week. Probably going to be in a team with these two chaps, and this other bloke who's meant to be a bit of a genius when it comes to sport.

I mean when it comes to football, I'm clueless. But apparently, this quiz isn't all about football.
In case you were wondering - it seems that no women go to this pub at all. Strange times

Moving House - New Places to Moped

I've been trying to keep a record of everything I've done since I moved house, and it's not been that easy. Fresh start everything in the new house needed cleaning, the carpets needed changing, and there was a flea infestation. We had the environmental health people around four times to get rid of that. Apparently the previous owners had a dog that was basically infested with the bloody things.

Anyway I mean now, and life seems to be getting back to normal, as much as it ever could. Still not found a decent job, but there's plenty to do around here.

The scenery is breathtaking sorry if that's a cliché, but it is. The neighbour seemed friendly, and there's plenty of space for me to put my big girl's toys.

My three mopeds are lined up nicely in the double garage, the guy who lived here before me had a Mercedes and a Bugatti, I think he'd probably flip if he saw two 125CC moped thingies, and the Honda 50 scooter. Come to think of it I'd like to see that.

All things considered things ain't too bad.

There's a pub down the road, that has a quiz night a couple of nights a week a curry night and serves a decent pint. As long as I can afford to go there and enjoy the simple pleasures in life things couldn't be that bad eh?

I'll let you know how I settle in and how things progress. Really too busy now to say much more.
